We believe that the Church is the main channel through which the knowledge and the love of God are made known and accessible to all people. Sacraments are an integral part of the life of every Catholic.

The Sacraments are defined as "efficacious signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine life is 'dispensed' to us. The visible rites by which the sacraments are celebrated signify and make present the graces proper to each sacrament. They bear fruit in those who receive them with the required dispositions." (Catechism of the Catholic Church). Therefore, the Sacraments are gifts from God to us, that they are sources and signs of God’s Grace and that they give very specific gifts and graces that God wants us to have.
 
The Church uses ordinary things from everyday life as effective symbols of what we are and can become when we begin to follow, and live, in Jesus Christ. There are seven sacraments, all echoing the actual work of Jesus when he was alive as a human being on earth, as recorded in the New Testament. As you receive these sacraments, your understanding of what they mean will grow. They mark the beginning and the end of our lives and make up the framework of our worship life.
